Elkstones – Reviews
Just a note to say thank you for all you have done during our stay in the UK. We found somewhere to buy and return at the end of September for possession of our house. It is a mile and a half outside of chipping Campden (in Weston-subedge – terrible name!….)- we couldn’t find what we wanted in cc – namely something just like Elkstones, so we bought a wonderful 4 year old house nearby. We loved Elkstones and would have bought it in a heartbeat! They are closing the aircraft door. Thank you again. We had a wonderful stay
Our weekend was wonderful. We absolutely loved the house and the grounds and the gorgeous town of Chipping Campden. Andy who met us there was lovely as was Emma who came on Monday. It was just perfect. Id love to know if you have other properties at that level in other areas that are also walking distance to a village. Thanks so much for the best weekend!!!!!
What can I say, we all had a wonderful time, everything was perfect.
On reaching our destination after a splendid lunch at The Swan in Broadway, they also looked after us very well and we were seated in an area on our own which also added to the occasion, the property looked stunning, Ali had very kindly let us phone on arrival and she gave Jonathan the code for us to enter, it was such a welcoming home and thank you so much for the Gift that awaited our arrival.
We relaxed completely straight away, Ali came to see us later and again she was very friendly and told us what we needed to know about the property.
Obviously with the ‘World Cup’ on, the men were in their element in the Cinema Room.
Both the Sauna and Swimming Pool were used over the weekend providing pleasure and enjoyment for everyone.
The Catering was also fantastic both on the Saturday evening with Ashok and Rebecca being our hosts and on the Sunday with James himself doing the cooking with Shashi in attendance (What a delightful lady). She arrived before James and she said we were very lucky to have him as our Chef, he is sometimes booked 12 months in advance because he is the ‘Main Man’ and very popular and he didn’t disappoint, everything was cooked to perfection.
The location is a lovely spot and the walk into Chipping Campden was comfortably within walking distance which meant we were able to support the local shops, the Robert Welch shop in particular.
We were all very sad to leave on the Monday but we had a lovely experience and maybe one day we will be able to do it all over again.
I can only reiterate how perfect everything was and I only hope your other guests appreciate it as much as we did.
Thank you for all your help along the way.
