Soane Dining Room

Spacious room filled with natural light and offers direct access to south terrace and lawns, designed in the style of the eminent architect, Sir John Soane, and is based on a room in 11 Downing Street, home of the Chancellor of the Exchequer, with elegant arches and delicate detailing.  Seats up to 72 on round tables or 40 on an oval table.

Octagon Room

Overlooking the south lawn with a beautiful large bay window, this elegant room is deigned in the style of a tented pavilion, and can seat up to 24 guests for dining, or 18 on one intimate oval table.

Bedrooms

   

The main house offers 32 en-suite bedrooms. All bedrooms at Hartwell House feature a hospitality tray with filtered water and homemade biscuits, a flat screen satellite TV/DVD player and a radio alarm clock, hairdryer, and luxury toiletries are included in all en-suite bathrooms. All bathrooms have a shower over bath, with the exception of the House Suites and one Classic Double which has been adapted for those with limited mobility.

   

Lee Suite

The Lee Suite is the biggest bedroom in Hartwell House, with a king size bedroom, en-suite marble-clad bathroom, a separate shower room and a spacious drawing room, all offering beautiful views of the south lawns.

Duc De Berry Suite

The Duc De Berry Suite has a separate king size bedroom and drawing room with a lovely window seat overlooking the south lawns, and a large en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Royal Four Poster Rooms

There are four Royal Four Poster Rooms, situated at each corner of the house they were once resided in by King Louis XVIII and his Queen, and offer palatial accommodation and magnificent views.  Each bedroom features a large four poster bed, sitting area, dressing table, work desk, walk in wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower over.

Royal Rooms

There are six Royal Rooms, all exceptionally spacious with open plan seating areas and lovely views over the grounds. All the Royal Rooms offer queen or king size beds, walk-in wardrobes and 5 rooms can be twinned. The en-suite bathrooms are traditionally styled and offer a bath with shower over.

Four Poster Room

There is one Four Poster Room, with a large four poster bed, spacious accommodation, walk-in wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom with a bath with shower over.

Classic Twin/Double

There are nine Classic Rooms that can be arranged as either twins or doubles. The Classic Rooms are located on the second floor and mezzanine level, offering well-appointed and spacious accommodation, lovely en-suite bathrooms, and walk-in wardrobes. The rooms on the second floor also benefit from air conditioning.

There are five Classic Double Rooms, as above, with a fixed king size bed.

The Hartwell Court building is 150 yards from the main house.

Spacious room ideal for private dining, seats 60 on round tables or 34 on one large table. Retractable wall to divide space if required.

OUTSIDE

The grounds at Hartwell House extend to over 90 acres, with the south terrace and east and south lawn being particularly suited to outdoor drinks and receptions, with tables and chairs on the terrace. There is a croquet lawn, two all-weather tennis courts, and a range of outdoor activities can be arranged such as clay pigeon shooting, archery and quad biking in the grounds or adjacent fields.

The private lake and bridge are wonderful for photo opportunities, and there are some beautiful original features throughout the grounds including the romantic Gothic Tower, the classical Italianate Ionic Temple, columns, an obelisk, canal and an amazing yew tree exedra.

The lawns provide plenty of space for marquee events for up to 150 people if required.
